FOTD #5 - Natural(ish)

Photobucket Photobucket
Face - 17 BB Cream, 17 Eye Brightening Concealer
Eyes - L'Oreal Million Lashes in extra black, Blink+Go Lengthening Mascara
Lip Balm - Marks and Spencer Raspberry Lip Butter

Have felt like wearing very little make up recently, I've just been using 17 BB Cream instead of foundation and then a touch of concealer and mascara. And lip balm. Reeeally need a new concealer, ran out of my Bobbi Brown one and I just can't justify £15 for more concealer! Or more make up at all actually, I have a shitload of the stuff. Do you guys have any cheap-ish concealer recommendations? xx

I got Litas! ♥

It was my birthday on Saturday and I received what is now probably my most treasured item in my wardrobe - Jeffrey Campbell Litas! I was so frigging excited when I opened these!

(The sparkles aren't edited in, they just appear when you first open a box of Jeffrey Campbells')

Cat personal ads in the bottom of the box...err
They are very easy to walk in, although navigating steep stairs in them whilst slightly inebriated without the aid of a friend is not wise *keeping it classy*

Not only to these look only do these look uber sexual on, they are comfy as well! They are the highest pair of heels I own but also the comfiest, as although they are about 5.5 inches the toe of the shoe has a platform so your foot is being arched hardly at all. I literally experienced zero pain whilst wearing these, normally I can bear 3 hours in heels before it gets painful. Now I just need to decide which colour/pattern/texture to get next! I quite fancy the Lita Spike:

Do you own Litas or Lita dupes? Can't get over how great these heels are! xx

My first ELF order + Nail swatches

From watching youtube Beauty gurus I'd heard ELF (Eyes, Lips, Face) Cosmetics talked about a lot as favourite products so I assumed they were uber expensive, WRONG. I got all of this lot for around £20 with free shipping.

The one item I really wanted was the Mineral Eyeshadow Primer which is meant to be a dupe for Urban Decay Primer Potion, I've used it once but didn't really find it that great. Will try it again soon as I think I may have used it incorrectly and properly review it. I also picked up a black pigment which is great, a little difficult to get out though. Their brushes are awesome too and cheap, no complaints there!
Photobucket
I picked up six polishes: Fluorescent pink, Mint Cream, Matte Finisher, Nude, Gum Pink and White
Photobucket
Before I bought these I searched for swatches on make up blogs so I could see what the colours were actually like compared to ELF's website swatches (see here). It's really useful so I thought I'd swatch the ones I bought.
Photobucket
White - Very pigmented bright white, however washed my hair after dyeing it and managed to turn my white nails milky pink - shows how white it was that I managed to dye my nails!
Photobucket
Nude - Perfect nude, can build up coats for a more intense colour.
Photobucket
Mint Cream - Gorgey pastel minty colour.

Matte Finisher (with Mint Cream base) - Had really wanted a matte top coat and this perfect. Also I found using the finisher helped prevent chipping quite a lot. You can't really see in the photo but it really mattifies the polish.
Photobucket
The only problems I had were with the two pink shades I bought as ELF's website swatches Gum Pink and Fluorescent Pink as completely different to what I actually received.
Photobucket
Gum Pink - So this is what I received, a bright hot pink. However the picture in the bottom left hand corner is what the website swatches Gum Pink as - a light pink. Hmmm. The sticker on the bottom of the bottle and the packaging both say Gum Pink so I wonder if the bottle was mislabelled..
Photobucket
Fluorescent Pink - With this polish the ELF website swatching is closer but again I'm a bit disappointed as the word 'fluorescent' suggests this pink should be very bright. The flash on my camera has made this look a lot lighter than it is as it's actually a dark toned pink, not very fluorescent at all!

Saying that though, the polishes are £1.50 a pop, I really can't complain! The reason ELF is so cheap is because they only sell online and the packaging is so simple, the quality really doesn't relate to the price! I'm trying to decide what my next ELF purchases will be, have my eye on their blending brush and high definition powder. Do you have any ELF favourites? xx

Make up: All my usual face, Miss Sporty Sheer Shine Lipstick in 020 Tease Me and a Ruby Hammer lipliner
Photobucket This is what I wore last week to see my little brother's band perform in a battle of the bands. This was the first time I'd seen them perform live and after making fun of him I kind of had to swallow my words as they were amazing! I'm now definitely a full blown groupie. And being nice to him in case he becomes rich and famous.
Wish I had worn a different t-shirt with this as I think the galaxy doesn't really go with the skeleton tights (which my other little brother insisted looked like penises not bones, errr thanks) and the studded flats. Also I can now never wear these tights again as when I got  home I found an article all 'Katy Perry wears edgy gothic skeleton bone tights to Coachella' and I HATE HER. So yes maybe I will cut them up and wear them as quirky arm warmers or something. xx

FOTD #4 - Birthday Face

Photobucket Photobucket
Photobucket
Eyes - MAC Stovepipe Black, ELF pigment in noire, MAC White Jeanius, MAC Liquidlast Eyeliner, L'Oreal Million Lashes and Blink+Go Lengthening Mascara
Face - 17 BB Cream, teeny bit of Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse
Brows - HD Brows, Collection 2000 Clear Mascara
Lips - Some old Miss Sporty lipstick #problogger
Nails - Kiss Stick On French Manicure

Wore this out to have dinner with my family on my birthday. Btw the key to creating perfect winged eyeshadow shapes is sellotape! I think I found this tip on a youtube tutorial, you stick a piece of tape diagonally from the end of your eyebrow to the corner of your eyebrow. Then you apply the eyeshadow around it and the tape works like a barrier to give you the perfect line which should be equal on each eye. You can then blend the line or leave it for a more dramatic eye. xx

Aaand...

Will do a whole post on them another time though, they deserve their own post! Met up with ma besties on tuesday and bought so many things I shouldn't have.
Photobucket
Was in two minds of whether to get this skirt or not, and then I saw one of the River Island sales assistants was wearing this with a petticoat underneath to give it 50s style volume, was just too cute to resist!
Photobucket
Bought these New Look cut out shoulder tops in four colours, just find them so flattering and perfect for summer! (excuse shitty photo)
Only got two things in Primark which is unusual for me, loved the cut out lace detailing on the bag.

Adorbz pastel Cadillac print

Lastly my friends bought me gorgey belated birthday pressies because they are awesome. Already have the frilly Topshop socks in white and they look sexual poking out of the top of Creepers. Photobucket
Also carried on my birthday tradition of getting a piercing each birthday-time (the little blue stud). Now have 6 piercings all  together, think I may get one more each side just so I have four in a row.
Going to my little brother's band's gig tomorrow so I take an outfit post then! xx

FOTD #3 Peachy

Photobucket Photobucket
Skin - MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Skin Primer, Bobbi Brown Colour Corrector, 17 BB Cream, Urban Decay concealer,  17 Pressed Powder in Nicely Natural, Natural Collection Blusher in Pink Cloud
Brows - HD Brow Palette, Collection 2000 Clear Mascara
EyesNo7 Stay perfect Mousse Eyeshadow in Vanilla up to brow bone, Max Factor Inca Bronze on lid, MAC Liquidlast Eyeliner, Rimmel Glam'Eyes Professional Liquid Liner, Blink+Go Mascara
Lips - Some ancient H&M Strawberry Lipgloss I found at the bottom of my make up kit. Honestly I am such a pro beauty blogger I can't even handle it.

This was my face today. Was going to do an outfit post but I had to chuck on a boring sweatshirt and jeggings again as it start hailing heavily and then rained most of the day so warmth was a priority over ~fashon~. I very rarely like to do outfit posts of outfits I wouldn't wear in real lyf outside of the blogosphere, feels strange otherwise! Have been giving my hair a break from the curling wand and just doing Wednesday Adams' plaits and sleeping with them in. Then unplait and voila, crimpy curls a la Daryl Hannah in Splash. At work today I was scanning through things for a woman with her little daughter, and the little girl said 'Mummy look at that girl's hair!' and the woman said to her: 'Do you think she dipped it in red ink? What do you think happened to her darling?'. Awk. xx
