Heart of Glass ♥

Seeing as I'm so bad with outfit posts I've decided to take an outfit photo of my outfit each school day and then post it on a Friday maybe, I epicly failed this week and only managed to take two photos but I'll try and take one every day next week.

My friend took this before I went back to school when we just hanging out, not a very exciting outfit!

I got this shirt at Primark when I was by the seaside, and I have been wearing it the whole time, I love it so much! It has cream lace inserts around the shoulders and the cuffs so its slightly different to the plain ones you see.

Oh, and I've dyed my hair! I was nearly back to my normal hair colour here but slightly gingery from the ice mahogany fading, if you scroll down its now dark brown :3

Shirt: Primark

Top: Topshop

Jeans: Gap

Shoes: Converse

Friday's outfit:

Skater Dress: Asos

Shirt: Primark

Skinny belt: Asos

Boots: New Look

Hair Bow: Peacocks

Necklace: Topshop

Thursday's outfit:

Top: Topshop

Shirt: Primark

Bandage Skirt: Topshop

Dotty tights: New Look

Flats: Topshop

I love these tights so much but I've just discovered there's a huge ladder in them across my bum haha which I don't think can be fixed with clear nail polish!

And these are my nails for the week! I'm off to finish off homework and endure another week off school, speak to you all soon.

Adventures in deco-land ♥

I mentioned a few posts back I had deco'd my powder compact, and since then I have gone deco crazy; its extremely addictive covering your personal possessions in (fake) pearls and gems! Anyway I decided to do a tutorial on how to make an Ipod case like mine:
(Ignore the fact some rhinestones have fallen off already..)
Photobucket
You will need:
♥ A clear plastic ipod case
♥ Flatback pearls
♥ A clear plastic ipod case
♥ Flatback pearls
♥ Assorted rhinestones
♥ Any other gems you want to stick on
♥ Glue (epoxy is best or superglue)

(All can be found on Ebay)

1) Arrange the rhinestones/gems/pearls on the Ipod case as to how you want them, making sure you leave space for where the charger goes in or like mine the video camera.

Photobucket

2) Choose one side of the case to work on first, I’m doing the back first. First I’m sticking on my main deco piece which is an adhesive gem I bought from a pound shop. Next I’m adding the flatback pearls, so time to crack out the epoxy glue

3) I saw epoxy highly recommended on Violet’s blog, you can use superglue but I used it for repairs and it makes the rhinestones and plastic go ‘cloudy’ looking.

Mix the glue up as it says on the packet…and open a window because the glue smells like rotten eggs. I recommend using a cheap glossy magazine to mix on as you can throw it away afterwards. Then spread it on the areas of the case where you will be sticking gems (spread too thinly and the gems will fall off eventually, too thickly and the glue dries yellow)

Photobucket

4) Stick on your gems, and then leave to dry

5) Repeat on the other side of the case and leave to dry for 24 hours

6) Et Voila - your own spangly Ipod case! Here are some other ones I made:

And also some other deco I did on a heart shaped glass bowl and my memory stick:

Hope you enjoyed this post - possibly a video outfit post this weekend if I'm not snowed under with psychology homework!

Your look is so distinctive like DNA

I was flicking through my copies of FRUiTS and FRESH FRUiTS the other day (which are such a good buy by the way, they never get boring to look through!) and I kept seeing photos of one person and thinking 'hasn't she been featured in here before'? So I went through the whole of FRESH FRUiTS and took pictures to show you, as her style is really cute! Her name is 'Saachan' and she is featured no less than 6 times in the second volume. If I lived near Harajuku I would be hanging out there in the brightest outfits possible in the hope to be photographed by Shoichi Aoki for sure!

I tried to recreate her kawaii decora style, but sadly these are the brightest clothes in my wardrobe I don't quite live up to her colourful style!

T-shirt ♥ Handmedown ♥ Skirt ♥ Shop in France ♥ Tights ♥ Peacocks ♥ Shoes ♥ New Look

I've also been decorating my nails with these Korean pen polishes from Ebay, I had Hello Kitty themed ones last week much to the delight of my 3 year old cousin who LOVES Hello Kitty and made me draw HK bows on her nails and then told me I'd 'done them wrong'.
Photobucket
You can see a bit in this photo that I have a pink streak in my hair, its not real though I'm not that brave! Also another sneak preview of my redecorated room in the background, only a few more pictures to hang and then I will do a full post on it!
Photobucket
This week I've cooked dinner for my family every night, Tuesday I made Miso Ramen with soba noodles which was so yummy but didn't look very appetising and I forgot to take a picture; but Wednesday I made onigiri for the first time and they weren't too bad!
Considering it was the first time I've made sushi and I didn't have long to decorate them (hence why they are quite random) I'm quite pleased with myself ^ ^

Do you think you could dress as colourfully as Saachan? I think thats one of the reasons Japanese culture is so appealing to many is that even if people think some of the 'wilder' styles weren't to their taste they would probably keep it to themselves, whereas if you went out dressed like that in England you would get shouted at by chavs :P
