Sixteen Saltines

I made about billion attempts to try and take a normal outfit post today but my camera was just not having any of it, so I tried something else instead.
~*~THE SITTING DOWN OUTFIT POST~*~
Not only did sitting down seem to solve my lighting issues, it meant I didn't have to stand; which as we all know, requires effort.

I went shopping on Monday and picked up a couple of things...

River Island had some really nice stuff on their sale rack. I got this crop top and playsuit for a tenner each. The playsuit is one of those things that look fugly off but nice on, going to use it as a beach cover up. Normally I'd completely avoid this sort of print!

Also found an amazing poundland with loads of Hello Kitty bath stuff, look how cute everything is!!

I found a nail wheel full of tiny butterflies too, and this glittery polish.
Photobucket
Also bought this Barry M lipstick with my Boots points - going to review soon.

I'm thinking of sticking these on fake nails in clusters for a sort of 3D effect. I also need to make a set of studded vampy nails for when I go see Gaga in september, have pretty much planned my outfit now!

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot, I tend to blog in spurts rather than regularly. I do however update my twitter more often, you can follow me here. I also spend like half the day on my tumblr. Toodles! xx

ELF haul + Jubilee gift bag

I ordered a couple of things the Jubilee weekend because ELF were offering a choice of a mystery gift, 20% off or free shipping. Probably would've been more sensible to go with the free shipping but the mystery Jubilee gift seemed so...mysterious. So I went with that option.

At first I thought the beautybook was like an eyeshadow lookbook and I nearly shat bricks but it's actually a neutral eye palette.

Was a little bit disappointed with the all over colour stick as I don't really like the colour (deep bronze), I'm hoping the nail polish comes out quite a dark vampy red as I already have quite a lot of red polish!
I also got some make up brushes, as they're so cheap from ELF it would be silly not to get them...

The total face brush is a little bit rough but worth the price.

I bought this lip brush for applying my Sleek lip tar, it folds up til it's tiny, so cute! And here are the actual make up items I bought:

Their cream eyeliner is amazing, this stuff literally does not budge.

I also bought a lip liner and blending brush in nude pink, hoping it would go with my MAC Creme Cup lipstick. Sadly the liner is a bit darker than the lippy but if I blend it out a lot it doesn't look too bad.

The High Definition Powder was the item I was most excited about receiving. Tis fairly pricey for ELF (6 squids) and is meant to give a 'soft focus effect to the skin' - soft focus? Errr yes please. It seems okay to me  at the moment but I will review it in another post.

Will try and post soon, going on holiday to Mallorca in a fortnight; so excited! I also have started a new job as a childminder/au pair. I changed my first nappy yesterday and it was not a pleasant experience. xx

Someday Summary #2

Errr so I haven't posted for ages, sorry! I quit my job in retail a week ago and then I went to visit my friend at uni for a few days. It's amazing not having to dread 4 hours of mind numbing, brain cell vapourizing work each day, will probably have to get another retail job when I start uni but hey ho. Here are some pictures I took, my friend told me it is her dream to appear on my blog so now hopefully she can sleep soundly in the knowledge one of her lifetime ambitions has been fulfilled.

We like to duckface a lot. Also in the left hand pic I'm not naked! Keen beans will recognise my dress in the right pic is the 18 & East one from JOY that every blogger and their mum has now - but it's so pretty!
Photobucket
Such beauty. I am literally the most photogenic person you will ever meet.

My friend's flatmate did some henna  for me (I would like to point out I contributed the line going up my thumb). I didn't realise henna was so cheap/easily found in the UK, or that you could get glitter versions of it! Sadly it doesn't last very long, I had it done on Wednesday and all that's left now is the brown/red henna. Apazzles if you mix it with oil it lasts longer though.
My friend and I also did some highly scientific research into the unfortunateness of an ill thought out camera angle:

Clearly this explains  why I look like Kate Moss in real life but shit in photos every unflattering photo on facebook.
Photobucket
I also did a little bit of shopping, New Look were doing a buy one get one free on earrings so I picked up the fish bone danglies and the fruit ones. Kind of regret the fruits now but I'm sure they will look good on holiday with bright colours. And the gem/chain ones were only £2 from Republic, frankly it would of been rude not to buy them.
Photobucket
I also picked up two of the Wah Nails x Models Owel nail art pens, as my ebay ones have all dried up and it's difficult to do nail art solely with a dotting tool. Below are two of the designs I made recently, hoping to possibly try selling some of the sets I make soon but that's for another post!
Photobucket
Also the post I wrote on Charlotte Free and Emer O' Toole has got nearly 700 views! Compared to viewage that my other blog posts get that's insane. Hope you enjoyed this random post, now I am free from work I hope to post a lot more, especially of the travelling I will be doing over the summer! xx
