5 things I'm loving right now

I would be making this an outfit post, but today's outfit is my pyjamas, so maybe not! So I've decided to steal iheartvintage's 5 things I'm loving now tag:
1) Merlin! BBC's finest drama after Doctor Who in my opinion,(although that won't be the same without David Tennant) about the wizard Merlin before he became old and beardy. Also the guy who plays Arthur is quite good looking..

2) Decorating my walls

3) Flicking through fruits and wishing I was in Tokyo!

4) Tea. I drink about 2-4 cups a day especially as its cold right now; is this just an English thing?!

PS The interesting looking vegetables in the background are swedes, as my Mum got a bit experimental in the vegetable patch

5) My cat .. even though he likes to sit in plastic bags

The more I look at this photo the more I realise how creepy it is...maybe I won't upload pictures of my cat anymore!

I dyed my hair for the first time!

I've never dyed my hair before so this was a new experience for me..I wanted to go darker than my natural colour for a while now as I've had mid-tone mousey brown for 16 years and I'm bored of it! Yesterday I went a little happy with my paper scissors as well and I've given myself an interesting sort of cowlick-esque side fringe...hopefully it will grow out!

So anyway I decided why not make two changes to my hair? I bought Garnier HerbaShine in 415 Ice Mahogany Brown which is apparently has extracts of bamboo...which is known for its excellent hair colouring properties?! The box claims that it dyes your hair in 10 minutes, which I think is about right, I left in on for about 12 minutes and the colour has come out well. My hair is now the colour it was when wet before, dark brown but with a red/purple mahogany sheen in the light. It made my hair feel soft and silky, does the roots well and smells nice (possibly of bamboo, but I've never smelt it before!) The only bad thing about the dye is its quite pricey (£7) compared to other dyes, and as I don't have any greys to cover yet I'm not sure what its like from that point of view!

The photos above kind of give you an impression of what the sheen in like..but it came out a bit odd!

I'm on half term now (a weeks break from school) so expect more regular posts!

Forever 21 & Anna Tsuchiya

This is probably old news but I've just discovered that Forever 21 are looking to open stores in the UK - yay! As far as I can tell they're like a cross between New Look, Topshop and Primark but slightly better quality. My Dad is in America for two weeks and I've begged him to get me these Forever 21 military boots/doc martens (I can't seem to find them anywhere cheap in England) which are perfect, and only $32 which is about £24 I think? Not too bad! But he said he can't fit them in his suitcase...noooo!! If anyone knows where to get these type of boots cheap then enlighten me, please!

Today's outfit, which would have looked good with the Forever 21 docs..

Nail colour of the week...(chipped) traffic light red:

I've been listening to a lot of Anna Tsuchiya at the moment, she was the singing voice of Nana Osaki in the anime Nana, and she's also a model, actress and singer. Unlike some celebrities who try and cross over between these things she's actually good at all of them! Anyway, this is her singing Kuroi Namida (Black tears).

I will finish this post with a picture of my cat Alfie, even though yesterday he had his errr 'crown jewels' snipped, he's already been back to normal: Ripping up important papers and spitting the bits out, throwing himself at my wardrobe doors, trying to climb out of the window to catch the house martins, and viciously playfully biting me when I try to remove him from under my bedside table (see below). Ah and just as I write this he has relieved himself on my English textbook. I love my cat!

Quick Update

If you haven't checked out my Ebay yet please do by clicking here! I'm selling this black Topshop dress below, UK size 8-10. I'll be putting up more dresses from shops like River Island soon, so save me as a seller if you like.

One more thing, has anyone seen DKNY's new campaign for the Be Delicious scent? I love how Lichtenstein-esque it is!

The coolest dress ever & Monty Python

Yesterday my New Look dress arrived! I'm officially banning myself now from internet shopping for a while due to the fact I now don't have any money that isn't virtual (and that doesn't exist for a while anyway seeing as Paypal now don't give you money you earn from selling on Ebay for 21 days...wtf?!(pardon my french)). Anyway, so this dress was £10 in the New Look sale and I think the print is amazing! It has pearls and a big medallion printed onto it so I don't need to wear a necklace with this ever. Dress £10 New Look Shoes £15 New Look

I'm also really excited and annoyed at the same time. You may have gathered from an early post I'm a big Monty Python fan (a Pythonaholic??) and they seem to have been all over the papers recently. John Cleese is doing a tour to fund his expensive divorce, which looks hilarious, but I'm annoyed because so far he's only toured in Norway and the US with no dates set for the UK...even though he's English! Also the BBC just released a documentary on Monty Python, and Terry Gilliam's new film The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus (Heath Ledger's last film) is about to be (or already has been) released. Check out the trailer below, it looks amazing!
