Computer Broken!

Sorry everyone, I really did have every intention of posting every day this week but my laptop is complaining about problems with its disc drive and won't let me even get to the log in screen. My Dad is going to fix it but there's only so much I can hurry him up! I'm on my brothers laptop but he uses it often and also the whole fact that my family don't know about my blog thing means I probably won't be posting until mine is fixed. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Spin spin sugar

Seeing as I pretty much live in jeans at the moment I've decided to force myself to wear skirts everyday for a week, so I'll be updating every day (fingers crossed).

Cardi ♥ Handmedown ♥ Skirt ♥ Zara ♥ Boots ♥ New Look ♥ Top ♥ No idea!

I also picked up some new books, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Across the Nightingale Floor (which is about medieval Japan, so interesting to me!)

My friend also gave me Love from the Harajuku Lovers fragrance set winter edition by Gwen Stefani. I'm not sure I agree with the way she stereotypes all fashion sub-cultures in Harajuku with her back up dancers when you can't really label the whole of Harajuku with so many meshes of styles...lolita, ganguro, punk, decora, visual kei etc etc .. but the bottles are so cute!

I had a pretty uneventful weekend, the little boy I was babysitting told me that if he died it was my fault when I said it was bedtime - charming!! I have also been considering getting a job as a waitress recently but I'm snowed under with homework, mock exams etc; I don't think I could cope with the added stress of waking up early on a Saturday! I also earn a decent amount pet sitting and babysitting but that isn't a regular arrangement. Does anyone have any tips on how to make money as a teenager?

P.S I've started a second blog called Diamond Fragments ,where I'll be posting a kawaii picture or quote daily, hopefully!

All we hear is radio Gaga

Omgzzz I had major Gaga fan girl problems today trying to watch the Telephone video which was released in the UK at 7.30am this morning, seeing as my school blocks youtube to students I was nearly going insane until my friend India came in at lunch time and had it on her Ipod for me to see and put my mind at rest!!

I was very bored this evening so decided to imitate the look from the photo above where Gaga and Beyonce are dancing among people they've just poisoned in an American diner. Fun times!
Its pretty much confirmed to me that I should never be a make up artist, except perhaps for drag queens. Sorry these photos are so Myspace 'whore-ish' (pardon my french). I decided to have fun playing around with the effects on Picasa 3. Just to let you guys know I do edit my spots out of photos, I don't have skin this clear in real life!

Handy make up tip, if you want darker red lipstick but only have one, brighter colour, then put a tiny bit of black eyeliner on your lips and rub them together before applying your lippy.
This weekend I'm doing a heap of English coursework, Ancient History homework and babysitting. I hope everyone has a more fun weekend than I will!

Girl, you have no faith in medicine

So this is what I wore to the battle of the bands of Saturday night. Grey topshop tank top, dark grey cardigan, gap jeans and new look heeled ankle boots. We went to noodle nation first for dinner and after getting the bus into town wearing the shoes I reminded myself that I'm not an amazing walker in heels as I'm so used to power walking everywhere I endanger myself and people around me by swaggering about dangerously. So I changed into my flats and after we'd finished our noodles me and my friend 'Seeds' went into the loos and put on our heels, she had some amazing studded all-over ones from a boutique called Vanilla. I also decided to wear my red lipstick out for the first time, and managed to apply it properly and not get any on my teeth which is a first.

The gig was amazing, the bands were better than I thought they would be! In the end a ska band (think No Doubt-ish if you don't know what ska is) won. One band also covered The White Stripes' Fell in love with a girl and I was about to go ape crazy as I LOVE that song but it wasn't a very good cover so, meh. I don't think I ever explained the picture of Jack White in the sidebar but I'm a massive White Stripes fan! There were also lots of cute lead singers/band members...my friend Seeds got pointed out by one of the lead singers and nearly died!! Haha a very good evening!

Also my friend is 17 today, Happy Birthday Linny!! My birthday is on the 7th of April, I'm not so sure I'm looking foward to being 17, at the moment I'm sort of half way between having the priviledges of being technically a child and 17 means more responsibility but also also more independence being able to drive. I don't know!

A close up of my make up, I did have liquid eyeliner on but I hadn't put it on yet.

P.S I've set up a formspring account, so you can ask me anything anonymously, see the sidebar >>
P.P.S Pretty please become a follower of my blog using google friend connect? I will do a giveaway when I reach 50 followers, thats a promise!

Can call if you want but there's no one home, and you're not gonna reach my telephone

Sorry I haven't posted recently, I've been really busy! I meant to post yesterday but I went to a gig saturday night and arghh its just been quite a hectic week! I have an outfit post of what I wore to the gig (which was battle of the bands) coming as soon as my blisters heal and I can put on my boots again!

The lovely
Vanilla of Places, Faces and Fashion gave me this award where the recipent must list 10 things that make them happy:

1) Painting my nails, I'm slowly building up my colour collection

Photobucket
2) Ouran High school host club, hilarious anime, always makes me laugh!

Photobucket
3) Old school work, this is actually my gcse art from last year so its not that old. Still it made me laugh! This is a surrealistic interpretation of the pond in my garden...maybe it was a wise choice not to continue with art!

Photobucket
4) My new shoe boots!! :
Photobucket
5) This topshop skirt...I so nearly won one on ebay for £15, why do ebay send you an email to rub in you didn't win an item?

Photobucket

6) Lady GaGa! I've been listening to Dance in the Dark a lot, and am beginning to find it very hard not to break into my own performance art piece on the bus. Btw if any of my readers are Lady GaGa stalkers fans like me, http://www.gagadaily.com/ is really good for finding out her new tour dates etc :)

Photobucket
7) My dogs, my babies!

Photobucket

Photobucket
My puppy likes to sleep on her back :3

8) Ancient History homework...okay I lied

Photobucket

9) Spring and the few more degrees it brings, its so cold at the moment I give myself lock jaw from gritting my teeth in the cold!!

Photobucket
10) Pocky and other kawaii things!

Photobucket

I pass this on to everyone who wants to do it! Sorry I'm being lazy with the tags, and I'll reply to all your comments on the last post now!

Kuroi Namida

So today was a fun filled trip Ancient History trip to the British Museum. This is what I wore (not very exciting I apologise!)

Photobucket

Jumper ♥ Bennetton ♥ Necklace ♥ Urban Outfitters ♥ Skinny Jeans ♥ Gap ♥ Military Boots ♥New Look ♥ Bag ♥ New Look

We were mainly looking at the Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon in Athens around 440BC. These are cheery sculptures of Lapiths (humans) and Centaurs fighting because the Centaurs decided to carry off all the female guests at a wedding (including the bride).

The amazing ceiling of the main room in the Museum..yes I take photos of ceilings!

An interesting fact for you, the reason the err 'manhood' in many Greek sculptures is so small is because that is what was considered attractive then; you can tell I learnt a lot today!

I've also added new items to my Ebay, have a look! (Link is in the right hand sidebar)
