Payday Wishlist #1

Photobucket

1/2/3/4/5

I got paid yesterday and already the internetz is calling to me. Specifically Topshop, their Pageant Princess collection is pastel-cutesy goodness and I want just about everything from it. Also the t-shirt dresses they do in multiple colours look great for summer, can't wait to be able to wear knee highs again! I can see the white one above looking awesome with my leopard print faux creepers. I love the bright colours you can get the faux litas above in from Missguided, they also do a really bright teal which is gorge. Have actually asked for a pair of the real deal JC Litas in just plain black leather for my birthday next weekend! I keep reading about how comfy and easy to walk in they are, even if they end up being my birthday and christmas pressie for the next 5 years combined I think they'd be worth it! xx

FOTD #2 Cat eye and casual vampy lip

Photobucket
Photobucket
Skin - MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Skin Primer, Bobbi Brown Colour Corrector, 17 Eye Brightening Concealer, MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation, Revlon PhotoReady Powder, Natural Collection blusher
Brows - HD Brow Palette, Collection 2000 Clear Mascara,
Eyes - MAC LiquidLast Liquid Eyeliner, MAC Stovepipe Black eyeshadow on lower lash line, L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara in Extra Black
Lips - Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick in Dune Rose

This was my face on Wednesday, found this lipstick at the bottom of my make up case, had forgotten I even had it! Estee Lauder lippies smell so good...kind of like a mixture of violet creams and roses. Almost as good as MAC ones which I find smell of tic tacs, anyone else think that? Didn't have much time to do my hair so I just wrapped my hair round the waving wand in two big sections (rather than doing it painstakingly in tiny bits to get proper curls) and I got this kind of messy natural curl effect which I quite like.

Bag - Ebay (from a seller in China, took ten billion years to get to Blighty but worth it!)

This is what I wore to work today, bit more interesting than my usual jeggings and a sweatshirt. Used to be a bit way of the whole buttoned up sheer blouse trend cos I have a biggish bust but I think when styled right they can look awesome even with the most gargantuan breastices underneath (providing you wear a cami). This weekend I placed my first order with ELF to get the Urban Decay primer potion dupe, and er, renewed my Runescape membership *ahem*. Hadn't been on RS for two and half years and even though the graphics aren't amaze it's sooo addictive, would play World of Warcraft instead but the intense graphics make my laptop implode. Anyone else play/have played RS?? I spent my Sunday killing a dragon and today I went on a quest for some snow imps...honestly, this is what my gap year come to. xx

FOTD #1 Sheer Brown

Photobucket
Awkward arm is awkward.
Photobucket
Skin: MAC Matte, Bobbi Brown Colour Corrector in Bisque, 17 Eye Brightening Concealer in Light Beige, Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse in Sand, Revlon PhotoReady powder in Light/Medium, Natural Collection Blusher in Pink Cloud
Brows: HD Brow Palette (Ash Brown), Collection 2000 clear mascara to set
Eyes: Rimmel London Colour Rush in Smokey Quartz over the lid, HD Brow Palette Warm brown in the crease, Lancome Pale Moon Rising blended up to the brow bone, Stila Smudgestick in Moray, Blink + Go mascara
Lips: 17 Sheer Moisture in Cashmere Blush

Was thinking of doing an outfit post everyday this week but as it is err Thursday we can see that didn't really happen! My work outfits are not really interesting tbh however I do try to make my everyday make up fun fun fun to counteract the shittiness of working in retail so I'm going to start posting face-of-the-days. This is what my face was like on Tuesday! Nothing really exciting happened apart from a woman came in to the shop wearing the Jeffrey Campbell cat tapestry Litas, and I was ZOMG; nearly rugby tackled her, ripped them off her feet and ran into the sunset cackling madly over finally owning a pair of J.C's but managed to restrain myself.
Tuesday was also a good hair day, I achieved the above look using my Babyliss waving wand all over and then plaiting the two pieces of hair that frame my face and tying them back. Should have probs curled the end of the plaits though as it looks kind of limp. I then added a shetload of Elnette hairspray (not the Cheryl Cole cans...bloody Cheryl Cole) to keep the curls in place. I hope you guys enjoyed this post!   Would you like to see more face-of-the-day posts or do you prefer outfit posts? xx

Jessica Holographic Duo Polish Review + Other Holo polishes available

More holo on the box - cute touch

Bought this after reading Lucy of Grazed Knees' post on these polishes here. This Jessica Duo (when bought from Feel Unique) seem to be the cheapest option for UK peeps holo-polish wise, and good for what you get as Jessica polish is amazing! Once you apply the holo top coat it gets gradually more holo (silver with an incredible 90s rainbow sheen), and one can develop shit-my-nails-are-shiny syndrome, it's sooo addictive to hold your nails up to the sunlight and admire the shiny shiny. In sunlight your nails look like a fricking disco ball - I highly recommend! The only problem was I found it chipped easily - but I work in retail so my nails get a lot of wear and tear.

I did thorough googling beforehand to see what other holo polishes are available in the UK, and tbh there aren't a lot that are easily available unless you use our old friend Ebay
Here are some of the holo polishes I've found:

Jessica Hologram Chic Duo - £20.35 (inc delivery) from Feel Unique here
Color Club in Worth the Risque (not as vibrant as the Jessica duo) - around £15 here
Jessica Hologram Top Coat (holo-effect top coat) - £8.70 (inc delivery from Feel Unique here
GOSH Holographic (sold out, only available on ebay now) - goes for about £30 a pop! here

There is also a brill one by China Glaze called Let's do it in 3D but can't find it in the UK, and an Aussie brand called Glitter gal which seems to exclusively do gorgeous holo polishes in lots of different colours! Those are only available if you're prepared to pay the extortionate shipping fees though...
Do you guys like holographic-effect polishes? xx

I'll apologise now for the cheesy title, it felt appropriate, scroll down for the cuteness. I warn you, kawaii overdose is possible.

They've grown so much, you can see the size difference as you scroll through the photos! They're about 5 weeks old now, and the cutest things ever. They all have homes but one is staying with us a bit longer before he's picked up by his new owner, I hope I don't get too attached! xx

Nails: Blue - Heartbeat by 17, Pink - Alluring Creature by Jessica, Glitter Topcoat - Starry Night by Jessica

Just wearing this to slob around the house today (sans creepers) really! A Topshop order arrived and I wanted to try out the frilly socks with my creepers. The leopard mani is just some nail art I did a while ago but forgot to post, my current nails are Jessica's holographic duo which is amazing, going to do a full post on it. Also picked up these two Illustrated People sweatshirts from Topshop as they were down to about £20 each instead of £40. They're sooo comfy, I pretty much live in jumpers and leggings for work as I do a lot of cleaning/carrying boxes/running up stairs.

Went to go see my University for the first time last week (even though I've had my place there for nearly 6 months...fail), and I loved it so much! Firstly (and most importantly) the shopping in the city centre is amazing, and secondly my course (Japanese) is so interesting, one of the modules I can take is on Otaku culture; I will figure out how to make my dissertation entirely on Hello Kitty somehow. Mucho excited for uni now, I'm just working loads at the moment to pay for it as it's frigging expensive. I've actually condemned myself to work tomorrow on a Sunday urghh, hope everyone is having a good weekend, I'm off to dye my hair blue! xx
