Hey guys! Sorry for the slightly longer than planned absence. Fresher's week has ended now and I had my first proper day of uni today. Feeling a bit delicate today as I drunk far too much last night, I like going out but freshers was just non stop and I'm suffering now! I am enjoying uni though, my flatmates are lovely and I met my friend from school on saturday for cream tea and shopping. It's so strange being in a city and having shops nearby and things to do etc.
I took these photos before I left, makes me long for green fields and a lack of people/cars/8am fire alarms. I still don't feel quite settled here - but I think that's normal. Posting probably won't be as regular until that happens but I have somethings I bought to show you guys and I want to tweak the layout a bit. Also I think concentrating on the blogging will keep me busy and positive! xx

P.S The lovely Hermione of Lilla Rosa featured Sequins and Beads in her favourite blogs post here. I featured her blog a couple of posts back, definitely one to read!

Blog Hiatus

Hi guys! Just wanted to say I'm really sorry but am going to be putting the blog on hiatus for a little bit (probs only a week knowing me) as I'm starting university, and I'll be mega busy what with Fresher's week and starting my course etc. I do plan to still blog though while I'm at uni, hopefully every other day like I have been recently. I'm moving to a big city oop north with amazing street style and shopping so hopefully my blog and personal style will progress to reflect that!

It's going to be a big change going from the middle of the countryside to a city (haven't lived in one since I was 3) so bear with me guys! I will still be tweeting lots here and probably tumblring (here), and you can contact me on sequinsandbeads@gmail.com. Hopefully there's an enough space in my room to take outfit posts, I don't want to take them in the corridors and my new flatmates to think I'm a loon. Anyways wish me luck guys!! xx

This is a scheduled post as I'm away with my bestie as we are going to see Gaga tonight (ommggggjgsdfhsdkjfhds). I got these fishnets for about 99p off Ebay for my Born This Way Ball outfit and was trying to figure out how to style them in a casual way. The t-shirt is a new buy from Zara, the TRF section has some amazingly cute tees at the moment at not badly priced either! Next post will probably be my BTWB outfit, have an amazing weekend guys! xx

My brother decided to move his room (the only room with completely blank walls in the house I have discovered) furniture around so now there's a bit of bed sticking into each outfit shot. Frankly livid about this.

Sorry for the delay in posting guys! I'd been on such a roll posting every other day but then photobucket decided to go down, and using blogger to host photos aligned them all over the place. In the meantime I've managed to take 3 load of outfit posts so at least it's been a productive break! Picked up this cute ombre jumper from Primark the other day, usually I just go in there and fill my basket with accessories and a mountain of cheap falsies but actually had a rootle and found some nice clothes.
I've had a bit of an annoying morning as I was feeding the chickens (oo arr) and managed to walk into a bit of low hanging fencing and acquire two scratches by my eye :( I'm going to see Gaga in two days time as well and I wanted to look my best but I guess I'll just be rocking a scar from the lion king look...I'm so clumsy! xx

Lady Gaga - Fame fragrance | Review

Okay, so first of all I am biased in this review, as I am a fully fledged Little Monster: I'm seeing Gaga in concert for the first time on September 8th, my bedroom walls are covered in posters, I have all her albums, I worship at the altar of our Lord Godga and so forth. However, this is a genuinely lovely smelling perfume.

When I first smelt Fame in Debenhams the other day, even through my devotion, a part of me still thought 'what if it smells disgusting?'. But I was relieved to find it is amazing (like Gaga).
Photobucket
It is a perfect representation of Gaga and a reflection of the Born This Way era. Gaga is not a celebrity to randomly endorse something by allowing her name to be slapped on a product and then walk away from it with the monies. Clearly a lot of thought was put into both the design and the scent.
Photobucket
The fragrance itself was developed by Coty with the Haus Laboratories (Haus of Gaga) in Paris, in a 'push and pull' structure rather than the typical pyramidal structure which is normally used in scents. The liquid inside the bottle is 'black fluid', but sprays out completely clear. Normally when I spritz perfumes at duty free in the airport or whatever I find them overbearing, and I don't normally wear scent as I find it difficult to find one I like. However unlike the 'blood and semen' rumours would suggest, the fragrance isn't overbearing at all, it is a genuinely nice smell - I can't stop sniffing my wrists when I wear it!

Nick Knight and Gaga designed the bottle together which is gorgeous, the black and gold is such a classic look - and I love the way the monster paw was incorporated into the design of the lid. You can also flip the lid upside down and use it as an alien-esque pedestal for the bottle. Overall the bottle has an amazingly futuristic look, even my family who are not fans of Gaga (mainly because they are sick of me going on about how wunderbar she is) remarked on how cool the bottle is and wanted to have a closer look at it. Also something I found out from twitter - if you hold up the bottle to the light the black liquid glitters red. Cool, eh?

Love the fact Scheisse was used in the ad, it's one of my favourite songs off BTW.

And another thing I discovered...

Have you tried/bought Fame? Do you have any favourite celebrity perfumes? xx

Mini Primark haul ♡

Photobucket
Photobucket
Pleather jacket - £25
Photobucket
Mickey Mouse hands tee - £8 - Gaga tee - £8
Photobucket
Photobucket
Spike shoulder tee - £7 - Slippers - £1.50
Photobucket
Purse - £4
Photobucket
Lashes - £1 each
Photobucket
Hairbands - £2.50 each

Some bits and bobs I picked up when I went shopping on Tuesday. So happy with my new pleather jacket, my other Topshop one has a furry collar and I wanted a more basic one as it's easier to style. Leather jackets never go out of style as well! The purse is so cute as well, got a bit sick of my Cath Kidston one and it's a perfect autumnal maroon colour. I'm so glad I finally found the rose and spike topshop hairband in their sale, I kept seeing it on people's blogs but my local Topshop is small and shitty so hasn't had them in til now! xx
