Nude Eclipse

Across the Universe (slightly overdrawn top lip, apologies)

Nova

Pros:

  • high pigmentation
  • high end feel
  • cute packaging
  • reasonable price point
  • moisturising
  • good range of colours
  • non-sticky
Cons:
  • transfer with eating/drinking/kissing

Since I've picked up a couple of Rimmel's Apocalips' (Apocalipi?) I thought I'd give them an overall review. As the majority of beauty bloggers have been agreeing, these are amazing! They are non-sticky, and the texture of the product and the ease of application of the wand makes it feel like using a high end luxe product.

They are liquid lipsticks and have a shine finish, although some of them are shinier than others (see the difference between Nova and Across the Universe). I'm pretty sure they've expanded to even more shades now since they were first released to definitely worth perusing the shades. There's an orange/coral I want too. The doe foot applicator is also excellent, with a little well inside which collects more product so you don't need to make two applications. As for wear, I have found these do come off with eating and drinking (although not badly), so would suggest a lip sealant like lipcote.

Can't wait to wear the red on a night out with a cat eye, its a perfect glossy hollywood/pin up red! Have you guys tried Rimmel's Apocalips, and do you have any shade recommendations? xx

I have Nude Eclipse and love it, it's the perfect nude shade for me! I want to try Nova next, it's such a pretty pink. Lovely post! :)
