Haha this chicken did NOT like being picked up, when I put it down again it sat on the grass for a bit looking rather molested.

I made a bit of money on Ebay so I went a bit crazy on New Look's website with my paypal account so I should be showing my new purchases on the blog soon. I'm going to the seaside for two weeks for a holiday soon, and I hopefully will blog from there if we have internet, I'm pretty excited I haven't been to a beach for a few years! Oh and I also have to say that my brother took these pictures for me, he was threatening to charge me 5p a photo taken unless I credited him..

P.S The title of this post is from the dark of the matinee by Franz Ferdinand I will not be appearing on bbc 2

Sequins and beads birthday!

Today my blog is a year old! I started it last summer after I had finished my GCSE's when I was bored posting about random things...and not much has really changed! Now that I actually have lots of free time one of my things to do on my list these summer holidays is improve my blog, along with getting a job. I actually had a job interview to be a kitchen porter at a local cafe two days ago so fingers crossed!
I haven't given you guys a proper outfit post in a while so this is what I wore to my schools 'foundation day' which is basically on the Saturday after the last day of term everyone is forced to come in and sit through a service in a marquee; where the school chaplain goes on and on about the meaning of the school motto and the year 7's are given prizes for 'most improvement in geography'...wait that might actually be prize giving which are also forced to attend on a weekend even if we haven't won anything. Anyhoo instead of sitting through the service me and my friend used our best espionage skills to sneak past the head of sixth form and down to the local park.

Hehe in the pic on the left I'm trying to ignore the fact someone is coming up the alleyway behind me! Yes, I did take OOTD photos in an alleyway.

After taking these photos we went and bought some fish and chips (well just the chips) and ate them in the sun, a good end to the term!

PumpkinCasper

Hey guys! So I know I promised pictures of my new room but shelves still aren't put up, I still have to reorder my huge Monty Python and the Holy Grail film poster, my Warhol, Dali and Lichenstein art prints I used to have on my walls, my bathroom needs re-grouting...so I think I'll wait till its finished and put up the pictures when its in its full glory!
For this post I'm going to shamelessly plug my friend Louise's homemade accessories company: PumpkinCasper. She handmakes jewellery using Indian glass beads, and kawaii food & sweets deco accessories using fimo clay; and the money she makes is going towards travelling during her gap year. I posted some of the pictures in my last post so you may recognise some of them:

The sweets deco are made from fimo clay which she hand makes and bakes. I've received some of the things she's made for birthday presents and they are very well made and unique. She ships internationally, and also takes requests if you want a certain colour theme in a bracelet or types of sweets on a hair slide; feel free to email her if you want to commission something or have any other queries: gucci_duckie@hotmail.com

The deco hair clips are under £3 including postage at the moment, quite frankly a bargain - so please check all her products out here!

You took a white orchid and turned it blue (picture heavy)

My eyeliner runs in constellations

Today I'm blogging in the garden! I even took pictures of my outfit on the webcam, I nearly fell into the pond feature thingy running back and foward with the self timer.

Skater dress with bow back ♥ Asos ♥ Skinny studded belt ♥ Asos
I actually wore this to school the other day with black flats, the studded belt was such a good buy it was only £4 in the Asos sale and it 'toughens up' most outfits.

I bought some rhinestones to use for deco-den but they are too small as I didn't read the Ebay listing and they're meant to be for nail art :( But I still used them to do a simple design on my nails and embellish a nail polish bottle and eyeshadow case:

Also seeing as cupcakes are so popular in the blogging community I thought I would show you these cupcakes I made for my friend for her birthday. I'm not the best icer but when you line them up they spelt happy birthday.

These rainbow cupcakes take forever to make because you have to separate the mixture into different bowls and colour each part then teaspoon the different colours into the cupcake cases, but the result is pretty awesome:

What are you guys doing this summer? I'm not going on holiday as I'll be busy moving back home in 2 weeks because my house is finally repaired after 6 months due to a house fire. I'm so glad to be going back home! I also need to get a job, get a novel/short story published,do some volunteering, do some more work, work harder on the blog, join a gymn, get more work experience...the list goes on! By some miracle I've managed to save £86 through babysitting so I'm not spending anything until I have £119 for a new Ipod as I still have the first generation Ipod nano (which is being lent to me by a friend who had a spare, before that I had a first generation Ipod mini with a non-colour screen haha). So I'm going to update my Ebay and sell my worldly possessions until I have the money or some fool employs me. I'm trying to get my first job, so far I've been rejected from waitressing, a recruitment agency and bloody washing up! Pretty soul crushing stuff..
But the good news is that I'm a bit more certain about what I want to do at university, probably English with Creative writing (hence getting published being in my to do list).
